OT: LHR Hotel

Ok, it's off topic - but are there any hotels within LHR ? From memory no - nearest I guess is Sheraton(?) Skyline ?? My Dad's coming thru in a few weeks and he can walk but only a short distance - just wondered if anyone had any thoughts...

Thnaks

Hilton is connected to Terminal 4. If he arrives at Terminal 1 - 3, he could just take the train to Terminal 4 (free) and walk over.

With Sheraton, you need to pay for one of those Hotel Hopper buses to get there.

Just my thoughts, the Hilton is connected by a walk way to T4, the walk is about 1km via bridge etc...this maybe a bit far...

If he is coming into to T1-2-3 the easiest way is to take the Airport Hopper that visit each of these terminals and goes to all the major Hotels around LHR, you have Sheraton, Marriott, Crowne Plaza and loads of others....
This maybe easier as it goes Door to Door and he cna have help with his bags both ends....

Edited to add the Hopper Bus is 3 pounds..or 3 quid if your local

Thanks...he uses a wheelchair round the airports, so pretty sure someone will push him over to the Hilton which would save aggravation ...er and 3 quid!

Cheers..

I stayed at the Sheraton Skyline last year and got in later in the evening (around 8pm) and the Hoppa wasn't running - had to grab a cab. Also the hotel is a dump - can't remember what I paid but it wasn't worth it.... and even as *wood Gold (ok it's only gold but it's not basic) they didn't have a non-smoking room available for me as per my reservation. I would stay away if I had the choice.

Cheers.

If you're going to take the Hoppa anyway (and that's a royal PITA), try the Marriott or the Renaissance. Renaissance has small rooms, but can be had for very reasonable rates; Marriott has larger rooms and I paid 85 CAA rate last weekend incl. breakfast and VAT.
