AC restores YEG-LAX nonstop

In today's 'Hicks on Six' in YEG SUN, he says AC management has seen the light and decided to restore the LAX nonstop dropped in January. No dates or other specifics were given and nothing mentioned in the cities other newspaper (despite much coverage to the unveiling of a new portion of YEG International).

Hope the rumour makes Punished happy.

Perhaps, AC caught wind that AS may be on the way with their own daily LAX non-stop.

I can't wait to see the announcement - Patented "tarmac to tarmac" Dash-8 service?

Seriously, this would be excellent news (if its not DH3 or Zip) as we need a flight to connect to Asia/South Pacific services in LAX and its nice to have a non-stop to California.

I just had another thought, maybe it will be a 2nd destination for UA/UX! A CRJ from YEG-LAX. I dunno if it could do it, but AS/QX currently using the CRJ on SEA-LGB as well as the new service on SEA-SBA. I will NOT be on those flights, ever.

The CRJ700 used by QX is not really that bad a plane. Its quiet and more roomy than the 50 seater used by UX. Of course there is no First Class which is where Alaska's best customers get to sit on most flights!! I really doubt UX would fly that route as I think UA is downsizing in LA.

Well with the latest screwing of Aeroplan customers you won't see me on the n/s flight either - these people just don't get it.
