Seats show as open but they are reserved
Found the problem, my mistake. The answer is at the bottom.

You got me - what's the difference between a 'seat map' and a 'departure seat map'?

What flight are you talking about?

sorry, i meant (the YUL flight, I forgot to say I we are doing an extention to YVR that day I think(thats another story))

The YYZ-YUL the seats are shown as reserved but the YUL-YYZ on June 2nd isnt showing our seats as reserved. Dont worry about the extra leg YUL-YVR, thats not booked yet. I have 20DEF and the chart shows them as open.

Oops, sorry. I found the mistake. Had the numbers for seats confused. I am pretty stupid today

A321-YYZ-YUL- Row 20F
A320-YUL-YYZ-Row 14F

BTW are those good seats?

Wait - you just said in your initial post this wasn't about the YUL flight but it was.

So you're doing YYZ-YUL on May 31, then YUL-YVR-YUL on June 1 and then YUL-YYZ on June 2?

Yep. A few hours in YUL for family event. I would have wanted to do YYZ-YUL-YVR-YYZ but I already had the YYZ-YUL-YYZ booked in Z. Opinion of the seats please?

If you are really coming to YVR, then you should pick the A321 flight - so you don't have to ask the same questions again.

If it was my choice I would like the 767(for YYZ-YUL-YYZ). I saw a 744 used for rapidair YYZ-YUL a while ago. I think I am going to YVR, not 100% but YYZ-YUL-YYZ for sure. Want to meet up with me Empress?

If you read what I posted when you first asked, you'd know that row 14 is one of the worst rows in the A320. There's more legroom back behind the exit rows.
