Trouble making AC internet booking with DC card
Twice in the past two weeks, I have encountered a problem making a internet AC flight booking with a DC card.
The site comes up with the message "invalid card."
I just spoke with a customer representative and he admitted that they were having problems with internet bookings.
Anyone else encountering this situation?
PS. There is no problem on the phone making a booking...just the internet.

Booked using my DC on aircanada.ca on 13/1. Little while ago, but had no problems.
I don't know if this correlates with dinersclubcanada.com being down...

Since the DC Canada card started as the AC En Route card, it's surprising that AC would not recognize its offspring. I had a problem at Continental.com but when I contacted their credit department they said DCI (Diners Club International) is fully acceptable and that any problem was not specific to the card (in fact it has specific benefits at certain airports). They were investigating and fixing any problem.

There still seems to be a distinction in many systems between the old EnRoute cards and Diners Club. At the Marriott where I worked last summer some cards were recorded as EnRoute and some as DC. I'm not sure what the difference was, as they both pretty much look the same. Maybe the issuing country? I take it that the designation would come based on the card number as all we did was swipe the cards and the system would automatically recognize the type. Were the DC cards in question issued in different countries/by different authorities?

Mine was issued in Canada. Most of the time it works fine, sometimes it says "invalid expiry date" or "invalid card".</font>
