AC/CP Pilots' dispute returns to the agenda
One of the major still unresolved issues resulting from the merger of AC with CP, has been the pilot seniority one. Yesterday, according to a report in the FINANCIAL POST, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board agreed with former CP pilots that the formula adopted was unfair, though it stopped short of accepting the position of those pilots that their start date with CP be the start date for their seniority in the blended lists at AC. The Board has ordered both parties to the dispute to hire an arbitrator and come to a new agreement within 120 days. AC has not been directly involved, leaving it to the two groups of pilots to work out an accommodation. Though not as severe, there are still merger issues to be addressed within AC's other employee work groups.

I don't know about the actual mergers, but the pilots certainly don't like flying together in a mixed crew scenario!</font>

No, I'm not.
I do have family who are ex-Canadian, now AC pilots (how I got the jump seat out of YOW). At get togethers, I get told that the (original) AC flight crews are still giving the exCP crews the cold shoulder.
These people flew 733, 763 and the good old DC10 (YYZNRT).
Personally, I think "you go to work, do your job, and leave evrything else at home", but that's just me.

I for one have no issues in flying on any AC plane with a mixed crew. My SO recently worked a flight with the ex-head of the CP negotiating group and said that their only "problem" was trying to decide on where to go for dinner that night.
