self administered frequent flyer scheme

So....

I'm making another weekend trip to YEG, short notice again..!

Went through to AC...great price of $466.00 for a Dep at 9am on 13th return on the morning of the 15th...

Went on the WJ site...same times...8.50 out 1pm back.....a stunning $ 206.00...yes $206.00.!!!

So my self administered frequent flyer scheme has just jump a staggering $ 260.00...makes the total year to date..$1035.00 dollars.......in comparison the flights on AC would have earned me 7076 miles....and cost me $1035 more.!!!.....

This makes the mile cost 15 cents per mile...

so at this rate...14000 miles will get me to Australia in H class, and then I can play the Lotto....

I love this....thanks AC flying is fun again!

Just curious though, if you are mad at AC, why give the Australia business to them? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I'm not mad at AC, I'm upset with Aeroplan.

Before I would have just booked AC to get the Qmiles on AC to keep my status.

SE had some major benefits, the most important to me was the upgrade at time of booking, I can live with the cost of the H fare, but not the Lotto.

I like flying AC, I have no real beef with them....saying that though My next Aussie flight is with UA, again price....I have upgrade coupons for UA which has been confirmed.

I guess the bottom line is the Loyalty program has lost it edge for being a Loyal customer.!
