HNL Award Request

It looks like almost all C inventory is gone around Xmas on YYZ-HNL flights but I did notice that the codeshare under NZ was showing C 4 in some cases. Is it possible to book these seats, using Aeroplan points, under the codeshare flight number? Or are these seats only open to members of the NZ FF program?

AC rewards must be booked using AC inventory only on AC operated flights. NZ does not offer rewards on AC operated flights. You would have to travel via LAX to use NZ and then would need 'I' class for business class.

You may have some success through YVR. They added an extra morning flight to HNL which runs on some days (Sat and Sun right now). Of course you may have to overnight in YVR on the way there. Try checking the YVR-HNL-YVR portion seperately as the reward page may not look at availability spread over 2 days. I was sucesful getting reward flights right after they announced this addition.
Good Luck!

Reward inventory does not come out of C class, they are in D class. The only way which you can check award availability by yourself is to use the "Aeroplan Virtual Rewards" function on the website. If C class is gone on a flight, chances are slim that there will be D class.

CPYVR....

"AC rewards must be booked using AC inventory only on AC operated flights"

Is this just specific to HNL or "C" & "J" seating only ?

Can't do this as it is a "blackout" period. Once I am SE (if those d*mn weekend flights ever post!) I can then look at any vacancies showing in J, right?

Even for SE, they will only show regular D/W inventory. You won't need that function anyways because if there are any revenue seats left, they can convert it into award seat for you provided that the flight is not overbooked.

Btw, today is the last day for flight to post in order to get immediate upgrade to status, you are very close...

When requesting a reward using the AC reward chart (not the NZ reward chart that AC also has), the 'D' class inventory (thanks for the reminder, Empress), if the flight is operated by AC, will only come from the AC flight number inventory. Any space that NZ may have on the AC operated flight is for NZ use only. AC cannot take reward inventory from their allotment, even if there is 'I' class. This is to be used by NZ only.

Thanks everyone.

Checked the website this a.m. and the miles have posted (100,000+) but still listed as Elite.

From what I've gathered from other's posts, the AC computer system will do a sweep overnight sunday and your status should show then (unless you have passed the cutoff date for this year???).

I thought it was Oct 31st - so anyone who's miles post by the time they sweep on Sunday will be moved to the next status and receive their package. Maybe I am wrong

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! The tension.

I called Aeroplan a few minutes ago since my flights from last Thursday night/Friday morning posted overnight to put me over 100k. Upon checking with a supervisor they assured me my status would get swept Sunday and the SE package posted Monday.

I thought my nail-biting would be over once I hit 100k. Now I have to wait until Sunday to see what happens.

It goes without saying that I will be monster-p*ssed if I've missed the cut-off by a day because of delays in posting, especially since the other flights last week took only 1 day to post.

Note to file: fly more earlier.

Flighst post overnight but the ones that are putting me over 100k take three days! I hate being teased!
