$50 change fee now?
Just did a booking for next week YYC-YEG and rules stated
"A 50.00 (Canadian Dollars) penalty will be assessed for itinerary change causing ticket reissue."
That seems a lot more reasonable and takes some of the sting out of L/Q standby (not all of it mind you--I still think they need a way to book L, Q, V fares etc online and they need to give the passengers a complete set of fare rules with each ticket)

If you want to confirm a new booking (different day, different time) and not go standby, that would also require "reissue".
With electronic tickets it's not really a (re)issue.

On the Western Triangle the $50 fee is part of AC's competitive response to Westjet along with the one-way fares.

This just smacks you in the face for the rip off charge of $145 for all the other routes.!
I still have my compliant in with the CTA, i have had to hearings and have waded through the paperwork...
My mission is to make the change fee justifiable and not at the whim of the airlines....
This just goes to prove that the charge is based on bull **** (BS)
