Any remaining signs of CP, since takeover by AC?
Any remaining signs of CP's presence? How many of CPs former planes still have the CP logo on the outside of the plane? How many still are configured inside according to the CP scheme (flight AC 3465 yesterday still had the blue seats in economy).
What is the situation in terms of integration of the remaining unions - ie pilots and flight attendants? Are the other unions fully integrated?
Two particular examples:
1. On a flight yesteday (AC 3465 from Ottawa to Toronto), the inflight phones still had the Cantel-ATT logo - I do not know if the phones are now functional or not, with Bell Canada.
2. The electronic ticket number of CP flights (beginning with AC 3___) were fully integrated with the AC electronic ticket number only in June 2001.

Well at YYZ this morning(07/30) saw one AC decked in the full regalia including the goose on the tail.
Also the on a couple of flights when I've asked for the inseat power kit. It still says Canadi>n on it(goose and all). When I returned it to the FA, she joked "maybe we should get some whiteout"

When travelling through YVR on Thursday I noticed that crews were putting the Air Canada name up on the old CP hanger/maintenance centre. Remarked to the agent at the reception desk of the MLL [nee Empress Club] about this and saw that their wall still had the goose logo on it. We both smiled.

As for signs of CP, the crew still wears the goose lapel pins proudly. Catering still uses CP (and even WD) dishes. Unfortunately the catering is now completely down to AC standards. Single half size tray on 767 with salad, entree and desert all presented at once in J. Very difficult to manouver due to the high sides on the tray.

My AC metal/crew flight YVR-YYZ had a bottle of CP soap in the front lav [as well as the Fruit and Passion? normally stocked]. They have still not removed the old CP< logo/name from the CP aircraft hanger at YYZ [between T1 and T3], unlike the removal of the Goose logo/name at the other one [Wardair] and at YVR.
One of the FAs I had on this flight remarked about how she found it odd that CP crews [she had been deadheading in J a week earlier] still followed their procedures rather than AC's, even though they were instructed to adopt AC's, and had the manual/training to do so.
We were talking about the wide variety of 767s on the Toronto-Vancouver route, and how FAs adapt. They don't like the "old domestics" -- the version we were flying that day, even though it was supposed to have been an itercontinental version -- but I told her she was fortunate not to have to work Purple Elvis. She chuckled, as did the gate agent last week when I caught an earlier CP metal flight to YVR. In this case, another 763, I was expecting an intercontinental version but it too was a "domestic" config. I asked "Purple Elvis?" and she laughed and said, "No".
As a side note, seems that Cara is handling domestic catering and SkyChefs is handling AC's overseas flights. Suppose this accommodation was reached because LH bought out Onex's share in the company, so AC did not feel compelled to pull all the business from SkyChefs [who operate a joint service with CX catering at YVR]. And of course, LH owns a block of AC shares as part of the bailout.
Apropos of the Billion Dollar Cost Savings, wonder if Brotto and company have thought about selling off CP logo'd items like glasswear, coffee cups, etc.? And now that there will be some surplus J seats...? [EBay, Mr. Brotto.]
