Elite Upgrades on CP
Hi,
I'm flying out this weekend IAD-YVR-HKG. For the first time, have had the ticket "issued" by CP - just wanted to check if any of these are upgradeable. Ticket is a mix of S class on the way out (IAD-YVR-HKG) then M class on the way back...I'm familiar with AC codes, but these are a mystery to me....
I guess this has been answered elsewhere, in which case could someone point me in the right direction ?
Thanks
Angus

The North American portion in M class would be upgradeable with this year's stickers/coupons if you are a Gold/Executive Platinum or an Elite/SuperElite member, but the S-class fare is not among the acceptable codes. If you are using last year's CP stickers, and these are CP metal flights, then you can use the appropriate stickers (500-miles, N.American or SystemWide) on both fares (unless S turns out to be a travel industry special fare).
We could help better if you would give the flight numbers, your status, and what method you planned to use for upgrading, since these all have considerable bearing on upgradeability.

Shareholder,
Thanks for that.
As it turns out, seems like there was a bit of confusion - whilst the reservation printout refers to mixed classes, I spoke to the agent and I understand it's all actually Q <sigh> Not really a huge surprise at 650 USD...
Thanks anyway..

Hi Eric:
It would be helpful if you let us know your status...
At Q class, there's no way you can upgrade on the IAD-YVR-IAD segment since it's an AC operated flight (AC695/696?) and on the YVR-HKG-YVR (CP7/8), you can only upgrade using black stickers on CP and provided that you have Gold/ExecPlat status on CP.
Hope this helps...
