Upgrade-using new CP stickers
I am a Gold member. As I understand it, with the new stickers, prior to the past weekend, I could upgrade (in North America) on Y,B,H,K, and M fares on CP flights, and on the corresponding Y,M,B,H, and V fares on AC flights?
I presume since this weekend, only the AC fare codes are posted for all (AC and CP-operated) flights?
Problem - last night, when I was talking to a CP reservation agent about upgrading with new stickers, she still quoted me the CP fare code letters that I could upgrade - ie the CP fare code "V" was not not upgradeable with the new stickers; I tried to tell her that the AC fare code "V" is equivalent to the old CP fare code "M", and it should be upgradeable. She was arguing that the AC fare codes (ie letters) can only be upgraded by the Aeroplan members with their certificates; and I could only upgrade on CP (or AC) operated flights using the old fare (letters)?
What should I do?

Call another agent. If you get the same answer, contact Dee Cott at Cdn hq in Calgary. (Get Cdn's office number from Calgary info.) Also email immediately Cdn+ customer service.

Ahhh...Dee! That's who helped me out 3 years ago when I was missing 1 flight segment from obtaining CP Gold for the year. She's great.

Usually the best thing to do is not to argue and call back, the chances of you getting the same agent is almost 0. Another way is to call AC and get the upgrade after you make the booking with CP if they insist that they won't upgrade you since AC agents should be able to see your status now on the booking.
