British Airways Grounds All Concordes
British Airways Grounds All Concordes
Airworthiness certificate pulled by British Government authorities.
Complete details on link below. As the pilot board speculates, it may just be the end for this magic, and very beautiful bird.
As posted here last week, I am still on the waitlist for the special August 20th, BA - Goodwood Travel flight, Heathrow to Oslo. "So near and yet so far". Fingers crossed she flies again.

Wouldn't this work better at "in the News??"
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/000994.html
I think more Flyertalkers read that forum than this one.
Now that we have THREE separate threads on the COncorde grounding.

It seems like news to me but I did not think it was necessary to start a new thread!
Poor judgement!
Actually there are now FOUR Concorde threads, since I posted it at 8:47am in the already existing "Two additional Concorde problems for BA" IN THE NEWS thread!
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/000953.html
Sorry for any contribution by me to the multiple thread confusion, CATMAN!

Probably so. I noticed it the minute the news announcement hit the pilot board, and was very pissed off as my hoped for trip looked like evaporating!
I posted the Pilot thread over on the News Board as you suggest. Catman posted that BA info after Doc had posted it on that same board. Too many people with TV sets on whilst at the keyboard it looks like!
Hope it gets a clean bill in short order, but I would not take bets on that.

I posted as well, in General Traveltalk....I couldn't decide between there and News....but I definitely said NO to The Buzz as the definition is: "Discussion of the latest frequent flyer buzz... ".
I really believe that MANY posts are technically "news" but that often that is not the best place for items...
Just my opinion....
