ORD dealys 2/25
Everything in and out of ORD this morning/afternoon is dealyed or cancelled. The lines at customer service are 300-400 deep. Even the UA 1K center had a 20+ person line. Avoid this place today if you can.

Does anyone have any idea why. Is this a leftover from Last Friday's snow storm. Is there bad weather somewhere? Glad I'm not flying today.

Fog all over the place. Couldn't see the ground from 20 stories up this morning.
As of 2 pm, it's sunny and it looks like it's burned off. I'm sure ORD will be a funhouse late into the night...

I was at DEN for a 10:25 flt to ORD. Just as I got to the gate (10:00) the word was we were delayed until 11:00 due to the fog at ORD. Just a few minutes later they announced that we were good to go and to get on the plane. We left 20 minutes or so late and arrived about 10 minutes late. All in all, no big deal. But there was a sea of people at 2:00 pm trying to clear security at Terminal 3. Glad I did not have to wait in that!

I should have been home at 6:30pm Fri. night, but got stuck in Appleton, WI. The fog here has been terrible for the past 3 days. Lots of snow on the ground & temps in the 50's are the cause.
All flights out of WI were grounded. When I got to the airport, they were bussing pax to
Green Bay & MKE, but those airports also were shutting down. The counter ladies were very nice and tried to accommodate me with a number of different options, but nothing worked.
UA had a bus going to ORD, but it was full & they couldn't guarantee me a seat from ORD-PDX. Sounds like that was a good thing not to do.
DL/ComAir was kind enough to put me up at the Holiday Inn here last night. The fog seems to have cleared, so hopefully I'll get home tonight (with a 3 hr layover at CVG).
Footnote: Just called ComAir & the first 2 flights out of Appleton into CVG have been cancelled already. I'm on the 9:35am flight & they told me they won't know anything about that one until around 8:00am.
