Will you be posting any original material or just wait until it is posted at The Airline Mileage Workshop and then plagarize again?

Talk about a blatant rip-off of the Airline Mileage Workshop!

Geez. Even that commentary on the Airline Mileage Workshop such as 'Another 3,000 miles? Keep your fingers crossed!' is stolen verbatim.

Pathetic. Airline Mileage Workshop should put 'The Original' on their site along with 'All immitators are just as useful as expired miles'

Be fair folks. It is not just plagiarism. Where else do you have the headings: United "Milage" Plus, US Airway "Divident" Miles? He has his originality. Wait till he calls us all frequent fryers and, dare I say - with Roberto above - includes the BA Executed Club in the list!!

Hasn't this person heard of copywrite? At least if he had some ORIGINAL postings his page might have some merit. Don't think much of his use of frames either. cheers Peter

Thank you for your rating. After I visit several pages I found out that they are not up to date. That is main reason I wanted to do my own constantly updated. I'am already in a process of making contacts with airlines (Northwest already succesfull) to make sure I'll have newest informations. This page meant to be as a trial and next few days will bring more changes to it. Just watch me : ))

Boo. Hiss. Stinks. Maybe a few pointed emails to his service provider can take the copycat down?

Calgon,

As the intellectual property of The Airline Mileage Workshop is copyrighted, you have committed a violation. It is not simply a theft of the text I have written but of the free online mileage concept. In other words, your entire website is illegal.

Many other mileage websites have been created (I must emphasize the word is created) in an original manner without resorting to stealing material from others. Yes, it is theft.

Here is a fine example of a mileage website recently created that offers orignal material.

Question, how can you copyright a concept? Couldn't a person who sells cd's on the web copyright the concept?

Please explain, I am curious.

We need djlawman here.

I agree Mileage Addict. We make websites too and we always fear that the concept will be "stolen" by other people. While it is virtually impossible to protect your concept as a whole, the least you can do is make sure you tag the pages with your copyright information on the bottom like (C) Copyright 1999- Tim Chen- All Rights Reserved. You own the rights to the text on the site and any copying would be illegal. But I suppose there are many other details that I am not aware of.

But in conclusion, I think it's an ethical issue here too. I created a bulletin board using the same system as Flyertalk a week ago, but I won't discuss anything about airlines on it, and will not actively advertise on this board.
