Big domestic fare sale on again---thanks, Southwest!
Southwest has once again announced fares of at most $198 round trip everywhere they fly. SW fares must be purchased on the Internet, but all the other carriers have matched them as regular fares. The sale runs through Dec. 2 for travel between 11/30 and 3/31. Seven day advance purchase and NO SATURDAY STAY (just one overnight).

I just booked a LAX-BDL trip on CO for a $208
RT fare, actually my destination is NJ, but for a long weekend trip to visit friends and family I don't mind a little driving. The rental car out of Hartford is about $15 a day less then out of EWR too!
with my elite bonus, e-ticket bonus that will yield about 14k miles!
I LOVE Southwest Airlines!
p.s. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their elite status early in the year for 2000 AND 2001

People say SWA doesn't have elite status, but they do. After flying 100 segments (50 round trips) you earn a companion card. With this card you designate one person to fly with you for free! You can even change the person if you change your mind.
GET THIS....PARTNER CREDITS COUNT!!!
I couldn't believe it!!!!
If you book on the internet, you earn double. Bonus's count toward this 100 threshold as well.
Has anyone reached this level yet?

If you go to the Southwest Airlines board, you can read about a few people who have Companion Passes. In recent years, with the double credit for Internet booking, there are actually a lot of people who have Companion Passes. And you can use them with a free Rapid Rewards ticket. In other words, both passengers fly free. It's really a great deal, but the people I've known over the years who've had them rarely use them.
Oh, and to stay on topic for this thread, there's another Southwest-initiated fare sale going on!!
