As I've posted before, First USA Bank (Wilmington DE) offers a free Visa that gets you Southwest Rapid Rewards credits on balance transfers (up to 5 credits--for transferring $5,000--over the lifetime of the card). Recently I responded to a mail offer for a Citibank Visa that earns AAdvantage miles on balance transfers for the first six months I have the card ($1 transferred = 1 mile). AAdvantage Gold and Platinum members have no upper limit to miles earned on the card (whether by purchase or transfer). Citibank also waived its annual fee for the first six months. Since Citibank provides checks for the transfers, I've earned miles by paying my rent and my student loans!
There's no fee for any of these transfers by the way. And if you send a check to your credit card to maintain a credit balance before you transfer a debt, neither interest nor finance fees accrue.
