Charity idea for this board to consider...

Some time ago a great deal of discussion arose on this board concerning Air Canada's ramp boys. There was however an idea very serious in nature, I believe first mentioned by YYZAC, about producing a charity calandar with AC ramp boys similar to the fireman's calandar. For resons not yet known to me, myself, AC*SE, MapleLeaf and Fisch seem to have a keen interest in the idea

Anyway, this would be a good time of the year to start discussing the suggestion and planning things. We should also get some ideas about potential charities etc.

As for Toronto-Pearson, I am sure YYZAC and AvionicsGuy could point us to willing subjects on the ramp and in the hangar It would be great to have a cross section of different locations, and seasons obviously (winter being the harder part). Nice to get a shot of someone at YTZ too! Anyone that knows people working in Eastern/Western Canada your suggestions would be very much welcome and appreciated!

Here we go again.

Fisch keen on the idea? I find hard to believe and the image a little troubling.

You know, I think it would be more entertaining to have an uncensored Air Canada "behind-the-scenes" videotape. They could show such things as gate agents calling E/SEs "idiots", bags getting pounced on, MLL agents calling the RCMP, ticket agents confiscating MCOs, employees partying in the Executive First cabin, fistfights among CP and AC pilots, etc.

This kind of video would sell like crazy! Exactly which charity did you have in mind?

What's wrong. Isn't the SUNSHINE Boy doing anything for you these days? If a straight man proposed this about AC female FAs, everyone would be down on him for being sexist and chauvanist. I see no difference here. We've been through this before, Fly Boy, and I thought you had grown out of this phase.

Instead of a video of people getting off the purple, a hidden camera video of people getting ON the purple elvis. Certainly woke me up and I had just come off a redeye

Uhhhh, take it you've never supported the charity fundraiser put on by Fire Departments across the country?!

I was chatting with the two lounge agents at the US Airways Envoy Lounge in PHL last Thursday, and we got to talking about the old National Airlines ads. (The original National - the one that merged with Pan Am in 1980) Their ads featured attractive female F/As with a caption "I'm xxxxx. Fly me." Apparently this ad campaign was very effective for the airline. So who's to say that a calendar wouldn't help to boost business? After all, sex sells. But I think the maximum amount of success can be achieved if there were two types of calendars - one of the ramp boys for those who like to look at males, and one of the female F/As for those who like to look at females.
