This would be good if issued in the same spirit as MHD. For example, YYZ-YEG-YVR-HNL.
Assuming the fare rule allow it, and they seem to usually...

Oddly enough, you can also get a $720 fare (taxes incl.) for a 1.5 hour stay, as long as that stay is over a saturday night. ie. Jan 20 yyz-hnl, arriving at 23:35, departing at 01:00 on the 21st, hnl-yyz. 9,284 Q miles at about 7.7 cents each. Not a bad run, actually.

FlyBoy. You still don't get it, do you? The MHD is predicated on an international full fare ticket and the rules associated with such a ticket. Last time I heard, Hawaii was still one of the U.S. states and thus this is a transborder flight. [Though for upgrading purposes, only system-wide rules would apply.] As well, the whole point of such fares is to fill empty seats on non-stop services a slow times of year.

Thanks for the tip, Empress. Not only is this a nice mileage run [10K out of YYZ], it could be a good early winter break [even using those $69 dungeon rooms at the Sheraton Waikiki someone posted the other day]. BTW, what class is that 1-1/2 hour stop-over? Is it also L, or is it M or H?

It is a very attractive fare, considered that it is a transborder flight so doesn't matter if one cannot upgrade since we will still get the 100% Q miles... I think this is as low as I've seen fares for YYZ-HNL!

Well, I guess the only reason I'd want an upgrade is because it's a 10 hour flight..

I agree, that's an amazing fare. But I wouldn't agree that it doesn't matter that it's not upgradable. 20 hours of flying in economy. That sounds about as enjoyable as bowel surgery

I agree with the upgrade thing...! Just try to convince myself that this fare is attractive enough but I probably won't be able to convince myself to sit in Y class for 10 hrs!

Obviously I know Hawaii is an American state Shareholder. I was not aware that it was ticketed as transborder, because of the distance, and connections. I had assumed it would be mileage-based. If I am wrong - sorry. I didn't know.
