He is flying ANC-SEL then SEL-UUS in FC and probably returning. He has Alaska mileage plan only. He is flying Dec 17. Any use signing up for FF account anywhere to earn mileage on these? There doesn't happen to be one plan that earns from both these airlines is there?
Not sure if this is the right place to post this. It's mileage related but I couldn't find an appropriate forum.
Thanks!

Asiana is part of Star Alliance (UA, US, LH, et al.)
Korean is part of Sky Team (DL, AF, etc.)
For more info consult the respective thread, but in general it is always worth it to open an account to harvest the available miles.

I agree with SPN, why waste a nice chunk of miles. Your friend is flying FC which usually means 150% miles. I would sign up with UA for Asiana and DL for Korean. It's quick, free and easy. Once the numbers are issued your friend should submit these to the airlines during check-in.

I would open a Lufthansa Miles and More account for the flights on Asiana. If you fly in F, you earn 300 % of actual miles flown on LH, 375 % once you have status.
