Miles to Argentina
Does anyone know which airline offers travel to Argentina for the fewest frequent flyer miles. I will be using miles to bring a friend from Argentina to the NE US (so probably a Buenos Aires-NYC route), with a departure in July and a return in December? I believe its 60K on American and 50K on Delta but I can't find information for other airlines, particularly ones which are partners of US carries and would therefore take miles in a US carrier account. I have miles in Diners and in Amex which I could convert as needed. Thanks.

Business class requires 90K miles and first requires 125K miles.

CO does not service Argentina. They are the cheapest to Brasil as LemonThrower astutely points out.

You'll definately have to transfer in Panama City to a CO flight, because Copa doesn't have a route to EWR/NYC.

Just bought a ticket from Oakland, California, to Buenos Aires on Delta for 50000 miles.

This topic discussion pointed me in what seems like the right direction. I was able to book a COPA/Co combination from Buenos Aires to Burlington, VT, with plane and airline changes in Panama City and again at EWR. One downside is that the timing of the once-a-day flights means that one has to overnight in Panama City each way. The person taking this routing to come here is from Argentina, and he does not need a visa for Panama (those of us from the US need visas) so the overnight won't be a problem. The lowest fare I could get was around $900 and that only got him as far as JFK. Maybe there are better angles, but 35K is remarkably few miles considering the distance involved.
