StarAlliance Promotion: when?
Fly 3-6 Star Alliance carriers (United, Air Canada, Lufthansa, SAS, Thai and Varig) on paid qualified fares in any class to earn 5,000 bonus miles for 3, 15,000 for 4, 25,000 miles for 5 or 50,000 miles for all six.
I guess, that somewhen ALL STARALLIANCE-PARTNERS will run the same promotion (but with different time-schedules). I hope to find out soon when others will:
UA from sep-15 to nov-15-98
LH from jan-1 to feb-28-99
TG (Thai) ?
RG (VARIG) ?
AC ?
SK (SAS) ?

CatMan: this would be haven (and not frequent-flyer-hell) then. We could win big-frequent-status fliers with one-big-round-the-world-ticket (36 segments, 6 with any airline and any ff-membership-#) with 6 partner-airlines and one ticket (and overall 6 times 50'000 promotion bonus miles plus actual flight and status bonus miles).
But i guess, that's exactly what the airlines don't have in mind (losing money on costumers like me ...).
