Breaking News -- The Mikula Twins
According to a phone call from a friend who works at Ted Stevens Intl here in ANC:
Crystal Mikula, Cynthia Mikula, and Mother were just removed from an Alaska Air flight about 20 minutes ago. They were yelling and behaving disorderly. They were not taken into custody (appearantly) but were simply removed from the plane.
I don't know if the yelling caused the removal or was a result of being removed. I will keep you updated as additional details are passed to me. I would assume that http://www.adn.com will have something about it tomorrow.

I got an update:
Appearantly (and I stress the use of that word as I have had no opportunity to confirm this) the trio was originally scheduled to fly NW but were refused. They then went to AS and were refused passage as well.
Currently the police are at the airport dealing with them and their lawyers are there as well. Negotiations are continuing with CO to take them.
The state of Alaska says
Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Okay, I got another update and confirmed it with another source. I think this is pretty accurate:
The trio tried to fly NW but were told they were banned from that airline. They then went to AS and were told the same thing. The mother got irate and started yelling. The airport police came and the girls lawyers were called.
After some negotiations CO agreed to take them on a one time basis. They are scheduled to fly out on the 12:45am flight. Right now they are hanging out at the airport, scowling, surrounded by cops and speaking to no one. Appearantly they are wearing sweats and look "nasty."
Picture(s) and a story will be in tomorrow mornings Daily News. (http://www.adn.com)

Cynthia and Crystal Mikula have apologized for getting drunk and disrupting an international flight in April and said "that's not who we are" in a syndicated television appearance to air tonight. The 22-year-old Mikula twins of Buckley are to appear on the TV tabloid news show "Inside Edition."

I hope these women are olympic swimmers and have valid drivers licenses because they may never fly again for a verrryyy long time from the looks of this.
I can't say that I disagree with any airlne doing this....and I would expect the same result if it was me acting like they did.

You know, this is kind of funny. It would be interesting to see if airlines maintain a blacklist of people that they simply won't allow on their planes, much like how casinos maintain a blacklist of known cheats.

Oh I absolutely think that airlines have a Don't Fly list - former Air Rage customers, competitor "secret travelers" etc? Of course this is my speculation... but other businesses do this - I am sure Car Rental has a list of Don't Rent customers. I used to work for a car rental company and we had a Don't Rent list of people with bad credit, multiple accident/no insurance history etc. You really have to protect your backside sometimes. Any "official" lurkers out there care to comment on the airlines specifically?
As for these two women - I can't imagine any airline would want them to fly - I am surprised CO even let them fly together to get home from Alaksa - I would have expected 2 flights, with 1 parent/twin per flight.

I saw them on "Inside Edition" (??) - or one of those shows after the news and before prime time. Anyway - my first observation is that if they are models, it must be easier than I thought to get a job in that industry.
I heard either from them or the interviewer that part of their sentence is a prohibition from commercial air travel during their period of sentence/probation.

I'll see if I can dig up the actual link. No promises, though.
