What do you mean by total miles? Total unused in favorite program? Total ever earned in favorite program? Total ever earned in all programs? Yadda yadda yadda!

good observation and we'll clarify, but the idea is the total miles and points you have ever earned to date. We know that there are the mileage IRS's that people save their miles for and the miles expenders who use every mile they have ever earned, so it's best to estimate the total miles and points you have ever earned. It's not a contest for the most, it's just to put into perspective your level of participation within the programs. Thanks again, and good luck.

Realizing it is only an estimate and that we are being a little nit picky, all CC earnings, phone co, etc. would also be added then? It's not just earned mileage, right?
And are there minimum age requirements (usu 18 yrs) or other rules regarding contest entries. Typically there is a page or so of these.
Thanks for the help here, your support in general and the opportunity in particular!

Yes, we're only estimating these numbers of miles and points. It's not a contest for that statistic, it's there for fun because miles and points is what our common language is on this Web site. Miles earend by credit card and phone surely do count and according to many of the threads and posts in FlyerTalk, is a most common way to earn miles.
As for a Web site full of rules and fine print. . . not here. It just a fun and easy promotion where one lucky winner (who sends in a picture of them holding their favorite frequent flyer card and telling us a little about why it is their favorite) gets chosen. We don't discriminate by age on this site, I personally know some very, very bright mileage maniacs that are in high school (they manage their parents and other family members accounts). Only rule - you must be able to attend the PIP.
Good luck, and don't worry about being off on estimating the total number of miles and points you have ever earned - just be within a few hundred thousand.

This oughta make the next month a little more interesting!
You can see my cute(?) unshaven early AM mug if you go to the site.
Now where would Indurain keep such a massive Mileage Plus card -- bet he would have trouble putting that in the overhead bins!

I can check that in at the counter. No need for a tag, my name is already printed on it!
Great contest! Maybe I'll get my shot at the PiP after all!

Premex: Dare to be different. It's actually a good thing that there is a degraded image quality. I may not be pretty at the best of times, but at 5AM, I had to use a little fuzzy logic!
