OMNI? Longboats on the Thames? Do I want to go there?

I have some friends who think taking a trip on a 60' long 7' wide longboat, moored somewhere near Heathrow, would be a great adventure. Has anybody ever heard of such a thing? Feedback?

I have sailed extensively so I can deal with compact quarters.

Go for it.

Get on the "narrow boat". Leave your mooring. Go to the nearest canal side pub with a mooring. Stay there for a week. Return to base.

Even I enjoy it!

Thanks for the question Girlflies (and welcome to FlyerTalk) and the review Sir Merry.

It's something different for me to try the next time I get to LONDON (sooner than later I hope!)
