Only been in the lobby, sorry. Seems average but there are so many other better choices here, no? Is space tight on your days/nights needed? How bout the Westin Bayshore or the Renaissance Harbourside for points and upgrades!

I stayed at the Suites part, which is across the road from the main Hotel. Comfortable 1 bedroom suite, with a kitchen and sitting room, complete with internet access via some form of web-tv.
I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant that was part of the hotel, I don't recall its name, but it was an excellent meal.
All in all it was a reasonable experiance for the price which was about C$150 per night.

Stewart.

I have stayed in the Pacific Pallisades quite a bit (about 4 weeks in the last 12 months). It's nicer than it seems from the lobby. The rooms are spacious, and its location can't be beat. Nor can its rates. Plus, the staff has always been very helpful.

I'm pretty critical of hotels, and generally stay at fancier properties, but I think the Pacific Pallisades is the best value in VYR.

Empress, I have never stayed at that hotel, but did just this past weekend stay at the Pan Pacific at Canada Place. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Canada. (Better even that the Four Seasons Vancouver or Toronto). It is contained in my trip report entitled YGK-YYZ-YVR-YYC-YWG-YYZ-YGK Report.

As a Canadi>n Plus member you get a special rate of $249 for a city view, or $279 for a water view (and what a view it is). These special rates include complimentary American breakfast for two each morning, as well as free access to the Health Club ($15 charge for regular guests). This is nothing short of a spectacular hotel. The staff is top notch, and the rooms have just been renovated in the past year. You also get double Canadi>n Plus points, for a total of 1000 points per stay.

You should really consider it.

That is a good rate for Pan pacific..I'll definitely consider it. How about the Renaissance in Vancouver, how's it...Can I use the Radisson buy one get one free coupon?

Regards,
Empress

Yes the Ren is fine (See my comment above) but the Westin may be even better! The Raddison? At the Renaissance?

Warning: The Westin Bayshore is under severe renovations. They have closed 55% of their rooms, and the entire area is a mess. You should not book into this hotel in Vancouver for at least the next three months. Check with the hotel directly for exact details.
