Cost of SFO/LAX-SYD in Early June?
I'm looking to take a drop down under from May 31-June 15. Anybody know what a "good deal" fare would be in this time from, historically? Obviously, it's a bit early, but I'd like to know what a good fare is when I see one. I've been watching fares for a few months and the cheapest I've been seeing is roughly $900. I'd prefer to fly United, as I already have status. Thanks for your advice...

I've been flying that route on and off the last 8 years. The cheapest published fare I've ever seen was $699, and that was on a very good sale about 3 years ago. The normal fares, depending on season, seem to vary between $899-1400.
