I think it is time for AC to update the information of its website. Some of the informations have been outdated, and it is also time to add some information regarding its famous inflight service. I hope they will add the fleet plan for A330 on the website soon. I am still puzzled about the fact that AC has more seats on the A330s than A340s. I hope AC has not decreased the legroom for its Y class significantly. The present 32 inches is not much...

A330s and A340s are essentially the same plane. The A330 is designed for shorter routes, with a higher density of passengers.
The A340 is the long range version. Some of the passenger capacity is removed to make way for the additional "stuff" required for the 4 engines, vs the 2 engines on the A330, as well as additional fuel capacity. As well, long range planes don't pack the passengers in quite as tightly as they might on shorter routes.

I've emailed them a couple of times saying there site needed updating ever since I read about the guy who heads up the department in Enroute. I remember thinking what a huge staff he has for such a small site ...something like 25 rings a bell.
