Trip Report Addem: EWR-YYZ
Dear Air Canada lurker. I was very very disappointed with how SOME of your employees handled a problem at EWR (i.e: that the computers for check-in went down.)
What frustreted me about A-C was that NOBODY TOLD US ABOUT THE COMPUTER PROBLEM UNTIL WE GOT TO THE GATE. IT'S FRUSTRATING TO WAIT IN LINE AND HAVE TO BE TOLD ONE BY ONE THAT "THE COMPUTERS ARE FLOODED." It would have been nice if they made a general announcement of it.
That way I don't have to stand in line for 10 minutes only to be told to come back.
It's nice they thought of manual tickets. I hope I get my miles.
But very very disappointed in the attitude and lack of information for this problem.
They got me on the plane, but the road to getting there was not too nice.

You just couldn't get away from Floyd could you. Apparently, everything had to be done manually over a wide area as the whole RES3 system went down with the power outage/flooding/general chaos caused by Floyd.
