RCC membership and Air Canada
A three part question:
Let's say on 9-17 I'm flying Air canada EWR-YYR and I want to use the RCC club.
Can I go in as a member on an Air Canada ticket? I believe yes.
And the BIGGER Question: can I check in at the RCC Club on an AIR Canada Ticket. I think no.
Coming back: Can I use the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at YYR as an RCC member with an Air Canada ticket?
Now that I've given you all a headache, I thank you in advance for your help!

I would suggest going to the Maple Leaf lounge to do check in and get your boarding pass on the Air Canada ticket rather than going to RCC. Why would you want to go to RCC if Maple Leaf lounge is available? Is there an RCC in Toronto?
Maple Leaf lounges in YYZ are great. Free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Free computers with Flyer Talk etc etc. Name me an RCC that gives you those.

Check in at MLL on the way back that is -- there is no MLL in EWR.
I agree that you will not be able to check in at an RCC on an AC ticket but that would be a good test.

I've flown EWR-YYZ a few times and the answers are definitely YES, NO and YES.
There are no RCC's in YYZ only MLL's.
Also the AC lounge in EWR is actually a USAirways lounge - not an RCC (nearest the Air Canada gates).
The RCC is much farther out (I think in a different terminal). Also the Diners Club lounge (the only one in USA) is also in a different terminal than the AC gates.
Unfortunately, through they have been trying, United and AC gates are far apart in EWR, making using the RCC very inconvenient. (This dates back to when AC were partners with Continental and hence their gates are close to Con Air)
