Miles for Gas and Electric bills - specific list of companies
In EyeSpy today there appeared an post that says "Our local natural gas and electric utilities do not accept credit cards for payment of bills. However, they will accept credit cards when adding to a budget or reserve account, charging a small service fee for this convenience. The cost per mile, with the service fee, is $.016, a real bargain.
"
Occasionally, we will use our credit cards to add to the reserve accounts of our sons and daughters-in-law as a We just love you surprise gift, accruing even more miles."
Please contact your utility company to see if this technique is possible, and if so, post this, with charges, here. If the list is sufficiently long, I will list all of the companies offering miles this way on my web site.
Thanks.
P.S. I'm not certain that 1.6 cents per miles qualifies as a "real bargan", but it would be a good deal for some, depending on how the miles are used. I am hoping other utilities provide a better deal.

In Texas, Reliant Energy allows for credit card depoist payment and automatic monthly bill pay for no additional charge or service fee. Very convenient, and miles friendly
