Expedia Goof: UA and Tyrolean Air Merge!
I'm playing with a trip routing on Expedia, using USAirways. I'm getting lots of great options on the United codeshares (from ORD to the East Coast, connecting to a US-only destination).
Here is a sample:
US Airways 7159 / 3760
Connect in New York (LGA)
US Airways 7159: Operated by TYROLEAN AIR
US Airways 3760: Operated by US AIRWAYS EXPRESS/AIR MIDWEST
So...I appear to be the first to break the news of this incredible merger of Tyrolean and United!
Not to mention Tyrolean's sudden US transit rights, which I guess came with the purchase.
Edited to add:
Trans States (US Express) is also showing up as PRIVATAIR-LUFTHANSA. These designations are only in the rollovers on the flight selection screens; once you get to the itinerary display for purchase, the designations return to normal.
