Thanks for posting that. I have a significant amount of DC points just sitting around. I don't even have a British Airways acct, but I think I may set one up now. Anyone know how long until these points expire? The BA web site doesn't give much information unless you already have an account and password.

From the BA Executive Club Handbook:
"Do Miles expire?
Your Executive Club Miles will never expire as long as you earn or spend Miles in each 36-month period."
Meaning that if you either add miles to your account (I think transfers from DC as "earning") or spend them (redemption for airline rewards, car rentals, hotel stays, etc.) at least once every 3 years, your miles will never expire.

Question:
Please forgive my ignorance here but, once the DC transfer is made to your BA account...what are the options other than redemption to London (from the US)? Can they be transferred into another carrier's FF account...?? can they be used domestically via a partner??

The availability has been good in my experience on BA and can be used for all one world partners except AA across the pond

Three times in the past I have redeemed 35K BA miles for a free R/T coach on American Airlines between the mainland and Hawaii, I consider this to be ALMOST as good as getting an AAdvantage 35K award for only 17.5K miles (if I recall correctly the partner tickets weren't quite as flexible as AAdvantage awards - for example no stopovers were allowed when using BA miles for travel on AA if my memory is correct).

Is the 1 club reward pt = 1 mile applicable to the 2000 club reward pt/month bonus for the first year for new cardholders? If so that would suggest you could earn 24K miles in 1 yr just from getting the card!

Can you tell me how you reached the page - http://www.citibank.com/dinersus/com...ewards.htm#ba?
I have been unable to get to it by going through the citibank site. I did call DC and the rep said the BA program had not been announced and she knew nothing about the link.
Thanks

How did you find the page? It doesn't appear to be linked to the current Diners Web site. It seems to be a forgotten leftover from the previous site, except for the fact that the 2002 BA double info is there.
Thanks.

I see what you mean. The index page,
http://www.citibank.com/dinersus/clubrewards/index.htm
was in my bookmarks. I keep checking the "Bonus Opportunities" in this page from time to time for the BA 2-1 announcement.

Let me explain further. If you start at the top:
http://www.dinersclubus.com
or http://www.citibank.com/dinersus/
There are no links to either of the pages Venkat had bookmarked. The pages seem to be forgotten orphans of the old site design. They don't have the new site design or graphics that Diners launched on February 28th.
None of the pages in the current site seem to have any info about this year's promo. It's weird that the old pages would be updated with new promo information while the current site was not updated.

Yes, I had the link bookmarked. I never new there was a new dinersclub site release on Feb 28th.
The wierd think is, when my friend called Diners Club last friday, the rep confirmed that 2-1 is coming back on Jun 1st. I just called Diners with the same question and the rep said he didn't know.
Please DON'T do any transfers until the promotion is confirmed in the new diners club website as pointed out by FLyer Jon and dhacker
Sorry for any inconvinence!!
