Free Starwood Gold

I have 5 Starwood Gold Preferred Guest memberships free. All that is required is for you to agree to stay five nights at a Starwood property by the end of April. Gold Membership allows for complimentary upgrades, accelerated points accrual and much much more.

As an AA Platinum, please tell me how and where I register for a Starwood gold. I tried before and was told there was no way Starwood could do it.

Thanks

The first poster is lying. You don't need to make the five stays to get you gold membership. He and you get 5000 points if you do, though.

I have these also, and I won't lie to you.

Scrog,

Go on line at AA.com and then go to advantage and at the top before view my miles you will see the offers for AA Platinum. Use the link and go down to Starwood, call Starwood and give them the code for the upgrade to gold.

I am Platinum, but would like my father to
get gold. He has already stayed five nights since March. Would he be eligible?

If you are Gold or above with AA, call 888-625-4990 (U.S. and Canada) and mention Enrollment Code RY. You'll be given SPG Gold status and receive 1,000 bonus AA miles on your first stay.

One thing to keep in mind though - the way it's worded, most likely you'll be signed up for a "direct deposit", so your SPG points will be immediately converted into miles. Not sure if you can switch back to earning Starpoints after your status been upgraded.

Answer: Yes, you can switch back to Starpoints anytime. Just call or email the SPG folks.

I wanna be gold! I'm leaving for a week-long trip in Charleston on Thursday. How can I take advantage of this? My email is [email protected].

Thanks!
