Star Alliance bonus repeats Jan-Feb '99!
Flying Lufthansa and Star Alliance partners between Jan 1 '99 and Feb 28 '99 will again get the mega-bonus miles which Rudi is so artfully collecting now on his round-the-world ticket. Same rules as before gets you 5,000 bonus miles for Lufthansa + 2 partners; 15,000 for L+3; 25,000 for L+4, and 50,000 for L+5. You just have to belong to Lufthansa's program. I don't know yet if other Alliance partners will offer the same deal in their programs. Pack your bags again Rudi!!

that's, I guess, the delayed LH promotion for StarAlliance. Last year the LH-promotion took place at the same time as UA did (Sep-Dec 97).
I participate as I booked already my trip to the Australian-tennis-open and the (Miami) Superbowl in january-99 (together with my brother).

I have searched Lufthansa's (german) website for more than 30 minutes (I also accessed the miles&more-member-pages) and did not find any information about the promotion.

My mileageminer-statement (from Maxmiles) pretends, that LH has NOW (15-sep to 15-nov, same rules as UA) such a promotion running (but I suspect that this is false, as mileagminer mentions the same promotion code as the one for UA).
Can anyone give a confirmation of a LH StarAlliance Promotion running now or in January 99?

i just got off the phone with the U.S. lufthansa member number (1-800-581-6400). the promotion is correct as posted earlier. it does not have a code, but it is called the "Star Alliance ACTION" promotion.
5K bonus miles for lufthansa + 2 partners

could you (please) find out if this is true (the code is the same as UA's promotion code) and it turned out, that the first LH-info by maxmiles was wrong (it had also that UA code, and it turned out, that LH is doing this promp in jan-feb, and without that promotion-code).
And my next project would be: one round the world StarAlliance ticket with 6 segements (total of 36 segments) per partner hitting all six promotions ... C L I M A X.

MaxMiles is wrong - there is no AC Star Alliance promo. I've called the number - it's only a United thing (and now an LH thing) - I'm also waiting for AC to follow suit and announce a Star Alliance promo.
