United Flight Delayed by Rogue Scorpion

On Thursday evening, a United flight departing from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) was delayed after a scorpion scuttled out of a passenger’s clothing and disappeared into the cabin, prompting a search for the errant arachnid. Passengers were placed aboard a separate flight.

United claimed in a statement that the flight returned safely to the gate, and that the “scorpion reportedly emerged from a customer’s clothing. Paramedics at the gate immediately examined the customer and determined that he had not been stung.”
