Three kilos of cocaine were discovered on two separate JetBlue aircraft parked in a hangar in Lake City, Florida on Wednesday, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. The overall street value of the cocaine totaled $180,000, and the first kilo of cocaine was discovered by HAECO Americas personnel while they were servicing a JetBlue A320, investigators said. “We got information from HAECO employees that they had found a brick, which turned out to be a kilo of powder cocaine,” said CCSO Sgt. Murray Smith. Smith confirmed that they do not believe the drugs were meant to end up in Lake City due to the fact that service personnel were responsible for the discovery.

“We are pretty confident that maybe someone is missing three kilos of cocaine and they are wondering where it is. Well, it’s here in Florida,” Smith said.
