Flight Circles Around to Avoid Airport Goat

After seeing a goat roaming the runway at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Nepal, the pilot of a passenger plane opted to abort the flight’s landing and engaged in a go-around until the goat was collected by airport staff.

At this time, it is believed that the rogue goat belongs to a local army battalion tasked with maintaining airport security due to its proximity to a high-security area.

KTM actively employs staff to hunt local wildlife and prevent mishaps with airport property.

“The TIA now has a five-member hunter squad being active round the clock only at the airside areas,” said an airport official to the Himalayan Times.
