TK Business: Turkish o/w DUB-LAX with overnight layover in IST (~$1500)

good availability on a majority of dates May through the end of the year, with a long layover/stopover in Istanbul. This seems like a good deal comparing to other transatlantic business fares, but its so widely available that maybe it isn't that great? You be the judge (tried linking URL from google flights but not able to)

Maybe useful for close-in booking if it's available through May, but not a super great fare in general compared to the EU-USA, USA-Spain fares (but 120/180 day advanced booking requirement)

Random example: DUB-LHR-LAX/LAX-LHR-MAD $1680

Ongoing thread with info about EU cities and US cities that work
BA/AA Business - Open-Jaw - VCE-LHR-SEA / SEA-LHR-MAD - 1600USD

Sorry I guess I'm referring specifically to one way fares during peak season. I haven't seen many prices under $2k for a one way summer fare from Europe to West Coast

Just a few other options -

You can fly ARN-LAX one-way on LOT for $929 on several dates. It may be cheaper to fly one-way to ARN (even in business) and then connect to the LOT ticket.

Or GOT/OSL-LAX one-way on LOT for $913 on many dates.

WestJet - DUB-YYC is $654 one-way on a few dates in May, then buy a separate ticket in WestJet premium economy to LAX.

Otherwise WestJet has many other dates around $1k one-way

You can get a one-way on TAP DUB-SFO for just over $1k, then buy a cheap one-way in economy from SFO to LAX.

hsk and Pedersens like this.

And once you get to LA you need to sell a kidney to afford even the most mediocre hotel.

Thats not a particularly good business fare from Dublin

LX, BA, AA, TK often have returns to the west coast from Dublin for $1500/$1700 year round

TK also does great year around fares to Mexico and Brazil from Ireland. Staying one night in IST usualy brings the price down further.
