Staying here at the moment. Staff are excellent & very helpful.
The lounge is good but quite small. The usual selection of soft drinks, teas & coffee with biscuits & nuts all day. Wine & beer all day as well although I've noticed that a couple of times there has been no beer in the fridge during the day ( not that I wanted one with my breakfast)
Food at night is good although the selection isn't extensive. The food choices actually provide a full meal rather than aperitif type options that you'd expect. Soup, main meal option, sandwiches & wraps & salad.
No cakes but it's a doubletree, a cookie is never far away.

Thank you for the update.
Is breakfast only in the lounge or were you given the option of the restaurant?

I had breakfast in the restaurant. I thought breakfast in the lounge would be a bit limited, went in one morning for an early coffee & the spread is not bad considering the space available. If I was on my own I'd have been happy enough in the lounge.
I mentioned previously that the staff were excellent, the manager at check out came out from her office & asked about my stay & hoped we'd come back. I was impressed. Only time I've seen a hotel manager was when I had a problem. Complimented her on her staff, she's obviously doing something right, they were exceptional.
The facilities are also good the pool is a good length, the sauna & steam room are hot hot hot. They also have this jacuzzi, fountain pool thing which my daughter loved, so many buttons to press (the staff fussed over her something rotten).
I'll definitely be back.

Stuck my head into the adjoining Hampton it seemed pretty good.

I can confirm feelings of the DavMJ.

Staff is one of the best I've ever experienced at Hilton hotels.

Lounge have worse offerings compared to the DT/Hilton Warsaw hotels but still better than DT London Docklands Riverside ;-)

There was also a welcome gift - selection of fruits and chocolates:

Here are some photos of the king exec room:

And lounge:

One additional thing: in lounge during breakfast there's a waiter standing at the counter waiting for your additional orders. I've just grabbed coffee so I don't know the exact offerings.

Glad you agree luziczek.

We got the welcome also but as the trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary they also gave us a bottle of champagne.

On arrival they also gave my daughter a small cuddly toy. She has slept with it ever since.

Small things but nice touch.

As my stay is fast approaching, a quick question about the bathrooms:
Do the bathrooms have bathtubs or only showers?

(The pictures posted above show only a shower which seems to indicate shower only....).

Very Good Doubletree

Very Good Doubletree (0 Photo)

DoubleTree by Hilton Krakow Hotel & Convention Center

Check In

Very nice, helpful and efficient. Made sure all questions were met.

Service

All the staff were outstanding and went out of their way to meet any requests. Good resource for information. Sell tram tickets at the counter.

Room

Comfortable with all the amenities required. Similar to a good quality Hilton property. A bit of noise from the "door slammers".

Dining

Breakfast only but a wide range of food that was of decent quality.

Executive lounge provides what could be a full dinner with drinks between 5-8pm.

Location

15 minutes from old town with easy tram connections after going through the nearby mall.

Overall

Very good property and better than most Doubletrees. Similar to China Doubletree properties.

I also spent one night in the connected Hampton Inn. The Doubletree far exceeds the Hampton but is more expensive. I purchased during the winter sale and paid about $50usd for the Hampton and $85 for the Doubletree.

The love of low-cost continues. For weeks now they have had Lidl gin in their lounge "Castelgy" and the most awful whisky from Biedronka (another discount supermarket) "Golden Loch" whisky. None of this crap in Wroclaw, Warsaw x2.

They clean the rooms with W5 products, that's more Lidl.

Soap bars like 2 EUR coins cos they won't order enough from Sysco...rooms stocked with not a single C&E product to save cash. No other Polish hotels have supply problems like this one...how odd...and Lidl stuff across the hotel, two and two don't go together?

I find it very funny someone is going to these discount supermarkets to buy stuff for the Hilton!

There's one word that sums up this hotel LIDL! Its a flagship Lidl hotel.

It's the only Hilton in Poland which has weird lounge hours, why close at 8PM? There must be consistency across the brands, especially in the local market. DT Warsaw is 24h, Wroclaw closes at 11PM, Warsaw 10PM.

Hilton get a grip of your hotels. The brand standard is meaningless if properties can take the p*ss like this, whats next Freeway Cola instead of Coke? Its embarrassing they do it, that they get away with it and that many of the locals are clueless about it.

Epic rant!

Jealous that you can buy liquor at Lidl over there though.
