Holiday Inn Florence

Have done short stay in Holiday Inn Florence. 

Hotel is located across the river, quite far from the city center (definitely not walking distance). There is a bus which stops 20 metres from the hotel which will get you to the city center and to the railway station (23A from center to hotel and 23 in another direction). Bus costs EUR 1 and it takes about 20 minutes between hotel and Duomo. Hotel positions itself as 4* but is very nice and clean - typical efficient Holiday Inn. 

I was upgraded to the executive floor. Room has bathrobe, room safe, minibar, kettle w/tea and coffee, some toiletries (shampoo and conditioner). Executive room has bottled water (still and sparkling) and 2 types of juice - replenished daily. There is also weekday newspaper.

There is small swimming pool (outdoors - seasonal).

There is also a fitness room. 

A lobby bar with some free shacks available along the drinks. The hotel does have a restaurant but I haven't tried it. 

Overall impression: excellent option for redemption stays in Florence... in case of paid stay - hotel does offer value for money but something more central could be found for same amount or little more.
