With regards to the non-Schengen pax that left the train, FRAport apparently has the option to utilize either a dedicated checkpoint to Z (right) or to let them go down escalators where they eventually arrive at the central checkpoint for Z. Every time I used this, the dynamic signs directed pax to the escalators and down to the central security for Z. I assume they only open the dedicated checkpoint when there are lots of pax transferring on the SkyLine.
