Can Wyndham points be transferred to another person's AA account?
 

Hi there,

Somebody had offered me their Wyndham points and I was wondering if they can be deposited into my AA account.

Anybody have first hand knowledge if this is possible?

While I never did it with Wyndham if they just ask for the number than no. But if you have to type in a name/email/address than usually you can get away with it (based on my experience with programs like UR)

Unfortunately you cannot transfer another member's pionts into your AA account.

I see that there is a late summer promo where you can earn bonus AAdvantage miles for stays starting August 1st through September 6th. I went to the Wyndham website and didn't see a link to sign up. Can I assume if my preferences are set for American Airlines that I will automatically receive the bonus points?

While I haven't transferred Wyndham points to AAdvantage accounts, I have transferred my points to family members' Air Canada Aeroplan and Southwest Rapid Rewards accounts. In the redemption process, there's a place for inputting the recipient's name and program number.
