Virgin Australia does not accept Amex cards any more (for cancel fees)
Sad to see that Virgin has "enhanced" the award-cancellation process and now refuses to accept Amex cards for the $60 fee.
Moreover if it's a partner award on Delta etc, Virgin Australia must to be engaging in some kind of tax-avoidance because you'll never get a receipt after a phone-cancellation, not even if you specifically ask for it. Am currently threatening them with a chargeback, so far still no receipt, just a pleasant email explaining that they are working on it. |
they dont even accept their own branded amex cards?

Finally got the receipt after nearly 3 weeks, several emails to/from [email protected] and a query via the credit-card company.
It's a genuine Aussie tax-receipt showing $6 of GST in the $60 fee - so they'll have to actually deliver the GST to Australia, on this transaction at least. |
