Much appreciated that this is the first thing that shows up when you Google the error message. It didn't work on my up-to-date Firefox instance, but did with Chrome!

Waited roughly 20 minutes and spoke with a very helpful agent.
He mentioned that the email registered to my account needed to be designated as "personal" or "business" per a recent system change. Which he updated from his end.
He then reset my password and voila after months of failed tickets with email support I can now finally log in!

Thanks for this recommendation -- I called too (and fortunately they answered almost right away, no lengthy wait). They did that personal/business thing but it still didn't resolve the error even after making sure to reset my password to a unique password. The associate said "they filed it with their IT department" and to try again after a day, perhaps too many Forgot Password attempts.

UPDATE - One hour later, I tried again to login with my new password and now it is successful. I don't know if this was just a time delay or if their IT really did something, but regardless I do recommend folks call into the phone number above and ask for help. It worked for me!

Old post, but dropping this in case anone else comes across this issue since it's what shows up on google searching the error.

Turn off any ad-blocker you have on your chrome/brave/whatever browser for virginatantic.com if you see ERROR_MSG_21 .. that's what's causing the problem. Once you disable it, you will be able to log in. Appears adblocker is blocking part of the login script.

Yep, this is caused by AdGuard (at least on my Mac) - you need to disable it via both the browser plugin and at a system level using the icon in the menu bar.

As a regular and loyal customer of Virgin Atlantic on one route, having flown over 100 return flights. Flying Member for 20 years, Red , then Silver , Gold for one year now Silver. I have been "blocked" for over two years with one 6 month break, when VA told me it had been "resolve" only to appear again a year ago. Having telephoned, emailed, text no sign of resolution. They have blamed my system , along with many excuses. I cannot even access bookings, my booking, bid for upgrade, even when I use my smartphone which is synced to my laptop!!!! Can anyone out there help? I am in England, so not sure if USA contact would be of use. I have several contacts with Executive Office, with copies to Shai Weiss - CEO and Corneel Koster Chief Customer and Operations Officer. The time spent trying get any meaningful answers would be similar as flying around the World!!!

I came back to try VS on a gold status match from United. So many issues with the website and IT - luckily came here and found the advice re ........ Honestly, if the only way to service flights is by having to use firefox instead of chrome (nothing wrong with ff by the way), then I'll likely not bother as it's too much grief.

incidentally this issue also materialises as an akamai error when trying to service an existing booking, so if you see that, try either another browser or remove ...........
