I went ahead and booked the two day sale before being confirmed, I don't think Jet Blue will hold me to time of booking as what they want is somebody with Virgin Elevate Miles to book and fly r venue on their airlines. So they are going to upset me by a technicality? They may but we will see,

I have been a loyal VX customer since 2010, and I signed up for JetBlue's program last year (even though I have never actually flown with them). Part of me thinks I should just relax, be patient, and let the process work through. But since I originally contacted JetBlue last Friday, did not hear back from them, saw many others who submitted after me already receive their confirmation, then resubmitted my information again today, and still have not received a reply, I will admit I am getting annoyed. I realize this is a generous offer from JetBlue, attempting to gain VX customers, that I should be happy about. But as this is my first "real" interaction with JetBlue, I have to admit I am already starting to get a bad taste in my mouth from their airline. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and it already feels like they are treating others better than me. Once everything gets resolved, it will be interesting to see whether those bad feelings I am developing for JetBlue will disappear.

Unbelievable how people develop an entitled attitude for something that is given for free

I think they will, as the promo T&Cs are very clear about this.

To me, there are planning/efficiency issues (not having the proper staffing in place to properly deal with what should be an expected response volume to the promotional offer) and fairness issues (first come, first served) at play. Again, it's only been a few days, so I'm trying not to blow things out of proportion. But I don't ever recall being this unsure about anything with VX. When Virgin America goes away, though, the comparison for me will not be between VX and B6; the comparison will be amongst B6 and all the airlines I have not had a negative experience with.

Yup, that's why several days ago, I suggested that B6 probably stuck 1 or 2 extremely low level pencil pushers in front of a couple computers in the basement. And they seem to be struggling with that responsibility.

They absolutely could - I have no idea why this user is going around asking people about it only to completely ignore the universal consensus. Especially given that there is little chance of a 'do-over' if he loses it - points post 4-6 weeks after the promo ends, so even if he flies next weekend, by the time 6 weeks passes and he gets a denial, he has about 1 week to book and do it again.

Is there any other way to check if we have been registered other than the email?

You will need to book After the confirmation email from Jetblue. Otherwise, it won't count. There is a record on the date you registered for the match on the computer system.

You still have today left to book for the 2 day sale.

Patience is a virtue. I don't see anywhere in the offer where it says we will respond in XX amount of time. If everybody acted as you did by submitting the information twice or more that increases the work load and delays the response for everybody. There is also no guarantee of approval stated anywhere in the offer either so it is probably best to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the wait:)

My assumption is that the reason they stress not to book until after you are registered has to do with their IT system. They likely somehow flag accounts that are registered, and then when there's an RT booking to a flagged account, it gets a further flag to watch for completion.

I really think this isn't about making our lives difficult, but just about the way IT implemented the program in their system.

Oh crap, did i just disqualify myself.

I received the registration confirmation on Monday.

I booked for August 27th then cancelled today.

I then then booked for July 17th using travel bank and credit card to pay for the trip .
