Agreed and now that status can earned by flying cheap segments there is really no reason at all to use the Community card for non VX purchases. In the past couple of years, I charged a lot to the card to get the extra status points. I was on the fence as to whether or not I would charge the additional $1800 I needed to get another 5000 bonus status points for this year. Now I won't even bother as they are basically giving me status without charging anything to the card. I will already have the required segments with flights I either took or already had booked for the next 5 weeks. It was a bit of a struggle to get status before. Now it is so easy, i basically have no incentive to use the Comenity visa or purchase any VX premium tickets.
