Fare reduction after purchase - how to process?
This is the first time I've had a trip booked with a substantial fare reduction I'd like to benefit from. I have the CC so I get a fee rebate, but I'm trying to process this as follows:
When I go through the "change" formula on the website (I'm going from MCS instant upgrade to the same), it tells me I need to call. It also tells me I need to call if I choose another flight other than the same one. I'm out of the USA for a few more days so I'd prefer to do this online. Thoughts on how to process? |

Call them and make two changes. 1) The first change should be to some different flight (ideally the same route + class + fare), any flight works. 2) Change back to your original flight. |
You must call in to cancel if you have the Virgin Premium Visa with cancellation fee waiver. I've always had to tell the agent I have the benefit as well. It seems like the system is not automatic yet.
