Hi Folks,

Am flying Montreal to Newark and then Newark to Dublin- both flights are into Terminal C and from google, the gates are closeby - the flights are with United on the same booking

Do I need to present an ESTA and exit and reenter security?

thanks..

You will clear U.S. Immigration and Customs at YUL, not EWR. (U.S. CBP maintains a "pre-clearance" facility at YUL -- just as they do at DUB.)

No need to go landside at EWR. Your flight from YUL will arrive as if it were a domestic flight; you can just walk to your connecting gate.

You must be admittable to the US, meaning that you need an ESTA or Visa if required

As set forth in Post # 2, this U.S. immigration and customs clearance, including verification of Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) or visa, as applicable, will be done by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at Montreal (YUL) prior to departure for Newark (EWR).

Have a valid ESTA, more worried about the short connection time
