Not sure on the other answers, this was an application for a friend I was helping them with. I was tracking it online and they told me it arrived but I didn't see it myself or see the envelope.

Routine Renewal
 

Adult renewal, routine processing, no speedy delivery, standard-size passport book
Mailed: 3/26/22 to Philadelphia from NJ (regular USPS first class mail, so no tracking)
Received: Probably 3/28
In process and check deposited: 4/6; Locator: 69 (Philadelphia)

To fill out the DS-82 renewal application form, I used the form filler on the State Dept. website, which put a nifty 2D barcode in the upper left corner of my application when I printed it. I assume that 2D barcodes are magic, and wonder if the reception-to-processing timeframe is longer if you submit a handwritten form. If you have data, please share.

My application, about 20 posts upthread (April 9 at 13:04) was done with the form filler as well. We submitted my wife's application the same way a couple of weeks later. So far it is tracking the same way with the same points of processing. I have to locator number for her application and will post complete details when we get the replacement book (hopefully in a couple of weeks).

4/4: Approved - You should receive your passport book on or around 04/11/2022.
4/5: Shipped Tucson, AZ
4/6: Received new style large book via Priority Mail
4/18: Received expired passport back via First Class Mail

My old passport was returned without any cancellation stamps or punched holes. Anyone else get theirs back without any indication of being voided?

Check cashed and processing as of 3/31 but still haven't received any new update...I'm hoping it will update soon!

I, my wife, and my 5 year old daughter applied for a US passport from a field office. We are still "in process" according to US passport tracker. Here is the timeline, which I will update upon new data. We requested routine service.

3/23 - Applied from field office (West Palm Beach)
4/4 - In Process
4/5 - Checks cleared (locator 42 = New Orleans)

I am expecting an update this or next week - at most - if there are no problems with the photos we provided (most probably not as the field officer would have notified us). To be continued...

PS: I have been reading the forum regarding New Orleans passport facility, and nothing promising is showing up. Did anyone have any experience with New Orleans processing center? Is it a Mambo Jambo center? They sure have great shrimps...

Routine service, Adult renewal:
Sent Priority Mail sent to Irving, Tx with money order (thought it would be faster). Put full name & Date of Birth on the front of Money Order. Pay to US Dept of State.
3/17 - mailed via priority mail, got acceptance receipt, no further tracking from USPS
3/20 Sunday evening - delivered Irving TX-received tracking confirmation
3/30 (evening) - Your passport application in process

3/31 - Money order cashed. Application locator number is 34

Applied for e-mail notifications. None received.

4/20 - (evening) Approved expect it on 4/26
'4/25 - Received NexGen Passport in mailbox, from AZ.

Interesting tidbit. I tried to verify status on my Chrome browser on my phone and computer. No status found. Firefox seems to work.

Locator code? It's the first two digits of application locator number you see when checking your application status.
