US Airways $2 fare in Mileage Run forum

There's a thread in Mileage Run active right now with a very advantageous fare for travel to/from LEB (Lebanon, NH) and/or AVL (Asheville, NC)...

When will we know if US plans on honoring these? I really could use the miles! :)

As long as the ticket is issued I doubt that there is much that US can do than going than going in to chapter 7 if they don't want to honor these. I guess that somebody mistakenly uploaded a wrong published fare.

I just booked SFO - PIT- ART - PIT - SFO for $31!!!!!!

I think US Airways must be opening a new hub in Watertown, New York, all with Beech 1900s :D

I just booked a same-day turn on May 9 from BWI-PIT-ART-PIT-BWI for $31.90 all in. Gas and parking for me to get to BWI will cost more than the plane ride!

I'm trying to find availability from BWI to SAN, with a connection at ART (two separate tickets) for another date, as a separate trip. Only $60 from BWI to the West Coast as the $2 fares are offered from ART to many, many destinations.

You've got to be crazy to make a connection at ART, but for $60 and extra miles I'll call myself crazy! ;)

what's US rules on back-to-back ticketing? Can I use this fare to actually take a week-long trip from say Orlando to Chicacgo with a connection in ART on two separate tickets?

wahooflyer Apr 16, 2005 1:29 pm

That's not back-to-back ticketing. What I'm doing is "end-on-end," which is perfectly fine according to the airline's fare rules.

wahooflyer Apr 16, 2005 1:34 pm

Thank goodness for the 24-hour rule, as I just found RIC-ART for the same dates.

A cheap fare out of RIC that's not an AirTran market? Wow! ;)

My flight to Watertown tomorrow afternoon looks to be completely full.... anybody else on it?

wahooflyer Apr 16, 2005 1:47 pm

I hope all the flights to ART in the next few weeks are completely full or oversold. If I could get a $200 bump voucher or even an RTFC off a $2 fare, I'd be in frequent flyer heaven....that is, if we don't send US Airways into Chapter 7 by booking all these cheap tickets! ;)

B1900s are quite weight restricted so it's very likely that your flight tomorrow will be needing volunteers. :)

US reportedly not honoring sale fares from this morning

Folks are reporting in the MR forum that they're getting calls saying US is not honoring the fares.

No, one person who booked through AA.com and then tried to change their ticket got a call.
